  • ER (Emergency Room) position available
  • 13-week contract duration
  • Start Date: December 9th
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS Certification is mandatory
    • ACLS, PALS, TNCC are preferred
    • Experience: Suitable for candidates who have worked in similar hospital settings
    • First-time travelers are okay
    • Must be okay with attending unit/department-specific orientation
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are 7 AM to 7 PM
      • Manager handles scheduling-preferences and block scheduling considered
      • Weekend Requirement: Every other or third, as determined per contract
      • Holiday Requirement: Filling in holiday gaps
      • No call or standby requirement
      • Floating to Med-Surg during any given shift as necessary
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common drips include insulin gtt and pain management
        • Staffed by 3 licensed individuals typically 2 RNs and 1 LPN, or RNs
        • ED Physician or Mid-Levels (Midlevel or PA) always present
        • Charge Nurse/House Supervisor takes a shared role and may take patient assignments
        • 2 techs available-one as an ER tech for admissions, the other usually assists in MS
        • RT Equipment operated by paramedics after MD orders, RNs manage drips
        • No monitor techs in the ER-RN monitors own tele
        • Unit provides scrub color/dress code flexibility but without other hospital logos

          • # Beds/Trauma Bays: 2 Trauma, 2 Clinic rooms
          • Common diagnoses include strokes, MI, trauma-MVC's
          • ER treats on average 12 patients per day
          • Nurse: Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3
          • ER and MS units are adjacent-communication between units is easy
