  • A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for ICU RN's. 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed. 2 years of unit experience. 13 Week contract.
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of unit experience.
    • BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
    • RNs required to titrate drips.
    • Need to be able to read and interpret heart monitoring with centralized telemetry monitoring.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.
      • Shift times: 0630-1830, 1830-0630.
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other
      • Holiday Requirements: Every other or as needed for based on unit needs
      • Floating Requirements: Will float to all inpatient units, excluding Maternity/NICU
      • Self-scheduling and block scheduling are subject to manager's discretion based on unit needs
        • Unit Specific Information
        • # of Beds: 34
        • Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, antiarrhythmics
        • Charge Nurse presence and responsibilities.
        • Nurse aids/patient care techs availability and duties.
        • RT Equipment handling requirements for RNs.
        • Orientation period: 2 shifts of unit/department specific orientation.
        • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue
          • Additional Details
          • Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:1-2 ICU, 1:4 PCU
          • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Various types including Neuro surgery, Respiratory failure, ARDS, MODS, sepsis, stroke, cardiogenic shock, renal failure, general surgery, etc.
          • Attributes that will make a nurse successful on this unit include the ability to ask questions, a positive attitude, willingness to help others, critical thinking skills, personable, and a team environment meant to foster high quality care.
          • Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
          • RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
