qualified ER/Trauma RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68130 About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER)
Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour evenings, 3 pm - 3 am
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year
License: Required for submission Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS,
NRP, TNCC, HSS Team (workplace violence training) Must-Have: BSN
preferred Job Description: - Work in a certified stroke center with
18 beds/trauma bays. - Patient-nurse ratios range from 1:4-5 based
on acuity. - Care for all age groups with common diagnoses
including chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic
injuries, ENT emergencies, behavioral health issues, sepsis, and
stroke. - Administer common drips such as antibiotics, narcotics,
anti-emetics, vaccines, and emergency medications. - Utilize the
EPIC EMR System and Alaris IV Pumps. - Serve under a charge nurse
present on each shift who also takes assignments. - Shifts and
scheduling are determined by leadership based on the department's
needs. - Work every other weekend with no floating requirements. -
Follow a navy blue scrub color/dress code policy. - Participate in
two shifts of unit-specific orientation. - Engage in TeleHealth and
focus on purposeful rounding. - Ideal candidates will have a
passion for emergency medicine, a positive attitude, teamwork
skills, compassion, and the ability to be self-starters who ask
questions. - Abide by a 50-mile radius rule for living
accommodations and employment. - Request time off (RTO) must be
required upfront, with no additional RTO allowed after submission.
- Cancellation policy permits up to three shifts per 13-week
