TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Papillion, Nebraska, 68046 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Room (ER) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in ER License: Required for submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Teamwork - High energy - Compassionate demeanor - Positivity and a can-do attitude Job Description: - Looking for staff willing to cross-train to cover charge occasionally in a smaller ER. - The department has 21 beds/trauma bays and operates with patient ratios of 1:4. - The unit handles all age groups with common diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, cough/congestion, orthopedic injuries, ENT emergencies, sepsis, and stroke. - Common drips include antibiotics, narcotics, anti-emetics, vaccines, and emergency medications. - A Charge Nurse is present on each shift and takes assignments. - Shifts are 12 hours: 7a-7p, 11a-11p, 3p-3a, 7p-7a. Scheduling is managed by ED leadership based on needs. - Requires working every other weekend and fulfilling holiday requirements. - The ER will transfer patients to other facilities as needed, due to fewer specialty resources. - Initial orientation consists of 12 hours spread over 2 shifts. - Successful nurses in this unit are kind, compassionate caregivers with a positive, energetic approach. - Charting is done using the EPIC system.
