qualified Oncology RN in Omaha, Nebraska, 68124 About The Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med/Tele/Oncology Job Specialty:
Med/Tele/Oncology RN Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years
License: Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
Must-Have: Chemo certification is not required to work the floor,
but is needed if hanging chemotherapy Job Description: - Work in an
acute care setting with a focus on oncology and trauma patients. -
Manage a unit with 28 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4
during the day and 1:5 at night. - Titrate drips, including
chemotherapy as needed. - Support a collaborative environment with
charge nurses and nurse aides/patient care techs available. -
Familiarity with tele monitoring; while tele techs interpret data,
some tele awareness is expected. - Work 12-hour shifts with
scheduling options including self-scheduling and block scheduling.
- Every other weekend and negotiated holiday requirements. - May be
required to float to similar care units. - Wear navy blue scrubs as
part of the dress code. - Participate in a two-day orientation,
encompassing 12-hour shifts specific to the unit. - Emphasize
attributes such as asking questions, kindness, and teamwork as
