  • Job Details
  • 36 or 48 Hour Contract
  • 5 West is a 40-bed non specialty med-surg unit caring for patients ages 18 and older.
  • Variety of medical and telemetry patients with acute and/or chronic illness.
  • Manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies, complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems and end-of-life care.
  • Float is required
  • Will float within scope to meet facility needs
    • Job Requirements
    • 2 years of prior MS/Telemetry experience pref (must have large, urban hospital experience)
    • Drips are required on all floors
    • Level l Trauma Center and Teaching Hospital experience required
    • First timers NOT accepted (will consider if traveler has 2+ years of trauma experience and meets all other requirements)
    • BLS required
    • EPIC charting experience required
      • Schedule Information
      • Ratios: Days 1:8; Nights 1:9
      • Float is required
      • Weekend Requirement: Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday/Sunday for day shift, Friday/Saturday for night shift)
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Team Based Care Delivery Model with bedside RN, LPN, CNA.
        • Virtual Nurses perform administrative tasks.
        • Complex wound care, post-bariatric procedures, high oxygen delivery systems and end-of-life care.
        • Staff members will manage titratable drips, chest tubes, tracheostomies.

          • 100% NICOTINE FREE FACILITY
          • Locals Accepted: NO (candidate must be more than 100 miles from facility)
          • Pending license accepted: Yes, but if license is not IN HAND at the time of submission then traveler will be booked six weeks out.
          • RTO restrictions: Up to two weeks of RTO permitted.
