Job Title: Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk

Location:Sioux Falls, SD 57108 - Onsite Role

Duration: 06 Months (Onsite - Role) - (Extension based on performance)

Pay Rate: $20.00-22.00/hr.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
Process return transactions for credit cards, checks, and ACH payments in a timely and accurate manner.
Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations while handling returns.
Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in return transactions.
Communicate with relevant internal departments (e.g., customer service, fraud, and compliance) to resolve return issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of banking regulations and financial product policies impacting returns processing.
Monitor transaction trends and flag any suspicious or unusual activity for further investigation.
Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all return transactions.

Qualifications:
High school diploma

1-3 years of experience in financial operations, returns processing, or a related role.
Familiarity with credit card, check, and ACH payment processing.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Proficient in using financial software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle discrepancies.
